Our bad luck started the last week of September of last year. Our oldest daughter was life flighted to Primary Children Hospital and was in ICU and they thought that she was brain dead because she was not coming out of a diabetic comma. This was all a shock to us, we found out that she had Type 1 diabeties. She finally came out of the comma and she was in the hospital for another week to teach us and her about her illness. During this stay we had 3 kids, our oldest of 7,4 15 months and one expecting in Decmember (oops child :) ) We are self employeed and with a single income. My wife stayes home to take care of the house and to raise our kids. We have terrible health insurance and to top it off we just sold our home and downsized to get out of debt 10 months earlier. At the time of this tragedy, we were still paying on the birth of our 3rd child and now we have this HUGE bill. Lifeflight alone was 8000 k for a 10 mile trip. Since September of last year, we have had the following happend. 1-New baby in December 2007. 2-Our 3rd Child falls of our bed to brake her arm 3-Our 2nd child in the emergancy room for dehydration due to a illness going around. 4-Every other possible illness that was going around and all our kids got. To top it off, Mind you we upto our eyeballs in medical bills, my oldest the one that was dignosed with type 1 was having more issues. Come to find out she is has an allergy to wheat. Its called celiac disease. We had to take her to primarys and have her put under to do a scope to verify her illergicness to wheat. Now on top off all the medical bills, the diabities supplies per month now our food bill for a family of 6 has doubled, and two seperate huge deducatable for 2 children born within 2 calander years. I have been forced to get a 2nd job, I work from 8am to 12 am every morning. My wife has gone back to school to become a CNA assistant to help us to get better insurance. All these has happened within 9 months of the first tragedy. All our kids are healthy we are self decimplened we live and we spend out money to bills and medical bills. We have recieived very small amounts of help but we are in over our heads. We are faithfull members of our church and belive in God and pratice what we learn. I know that there are alot of people in the world that are in need, and we are one of them. I can show documents that will verify everything i have said in thie request for help. Please help us to get back on our feet. We believe in paying things forward and we do our share in service. Please help us to reduce our debt and to gain our desire of being out of debt again. Just as a side note, the only debt we had before this was our mortgage. NO car payment, no credit card payments no ohter debt. Now we have 2 credit cards maxed out ot help pay bills, to help us with a lower income we made for me to be with the family, and all our life savings gone.... I hope you can feel the spirit of these message and see the struggles we have gone through. May god bless all children in the world and expecially the ones that have disabilites and health issues.
